Amy Ruth was born in North Carolina where she was trained by a panel of Carolina Dance Masters certified instructors as well as fitness minded individuals. Her Sophomore year in High School, she started her High schools very first Dance Team and acted as an active choreographer. She attended UNC Charlotte where she studied dance, theatre, and graphic design. Her instructors expanded her love for performing arts by requiring her to study everything from ballet and breakdancing to Broadway jazz and kinesiology. After college, Amy would find herself teaching for a variety of dance schools all over the country but mostly in Los Angeles. In 2016, she trained as an instructor at Millennium Dance Complex for their grand opening in Denver, CO however her heart belonged to South Bay. Once returning to the area, she decided to start her own programming as CREATE COMPLEX, focusing on what she felt could make the dance world more meaningful. Once her clients began succeeding in the world of entertainment, she decided to hyper focus on artistry for the benefit of her clients. In 2023, Lyric Dance Pro was created. Amy has taught over 5,000 individuals in the span of 26 years, has developed hundreds of pieces of choreography, and has performed alongside industry leaders. She has written and directed 11 live stage performances, has students who have gone on to study internationally with the World Academy Of Ballet, are employed by Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre, have gained recognition in the entertainment world as paid actresses and dancers, and is currently qualified for an Oscar nomination in the 96th Annual Academy Awards along with an all star cast for the short film, GRACE.

Kavita Sarathy started as a dancer in Lyric’s original dance company (2016-17) and became part of the team committed to growing and expanding Lyric Dance Pro. Her dance training
and experience with Lyric intersected with her love for science, leading her to develop a
passion for studying movement and the human body. In college, that meant pursuing a
degree in Biotechnology with Kinesiology and completing a senior thesis project called
“Evaluating the Ankle Biomechanics of Female Ballet Dancers for Training Young
Dancers” at Syracuse University. This project was her first step into analyzing safe
movement within dancers and looking at factors to standardize training adolescent and youth dancers. Following the completion of her undergraduate degree,
Kavita is pursuing a Doctor of Physical Therapy at Columbia University and is a
part of the Dance Research Team within the program. This has allowed her to continue
studying the dance population in relation to both injury prevention, rehabilitation and
finding ways to screen dancers of all ages to prevent future complications. Just as Lyric
believes, Kavita believes that as long as a dancer wants to dance, they should be able
to. Upon completion of her
doctoral program, Kavita will be employed by the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre as well as continue working with Amy and all of the LDP dancers.
